That's really sad. I used to love GE's back in the "ole days" when they weren't so time consuming. The expense wasn't an issue with me - I just didn't have the time and energy for all of posting all of the hints and responding to other's hints. I quit doing GE's because I felt that my GE buddy was missing out on some of the fun - although they didn't realize it until the exchange was over.
Another option to the traditional GE is to select a member at random - perhaps one you don't know very well and send them a small brighten your day gift and tell them to "pass it forward".
