I could go on, but they all say the same thing, throughout several breeds. Lots of breeders of prick ears dogs swear by Vit C as a way to help puppies ears stand. This is actually the only breed I have never seen it mentioned, though I grant I have not been looking for it.

I do see:

"Please do not feed this breed of dog any supplemental vitamin C (ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate, calcium ascorbate or ascorbal palmitate) because of the kidney and liver damage it can do (see article at this web site)."

at http://www.wdcusick.com/YorkshireTerrier.html though...so I am wondering...I have actually never heard of Vitamin C damaging kidney or liver. Hmmmm...
