Oh poor Chloe, she looks so cute in her onesie, how is she feeling.

I wish I would have know about that prior to having Lola spayed. The e collar had her so distressed that she would not move or drink water, she just stood with her head down facing the corner of what ever room she was in, she looked like a little dunce. At that point I could not leave her to go out driving around looking for premie onesies, the regulars were to big. I wound up using a puppy diaper and a dog tee shirt and then duck taping them in the center, it worked great but was a PITA to keep undoing it since she was also being potty trained. After coming back in from going potty, I put the outfit back on but just before duck taping it I got a business call, when the call was finished I see her lying in her bed with diaper on floor and almost all the stitches out. It had been just under a week. I took her to the vet who on the phone told me she might have to staple the incision but thankfully when she saw her, said it was in good shape and healed to the point it would not open up.

I told my vet about wanting a onesie, at that point I did not have a sewing machine, but I think if someone wanted to get a business going they could make these and sell them to vet offices for at least the smaller dogs.

Jan make sure to watch her closely because if she is like Lola she might find a way to get her tongue under the back leg opening. I think if I needed to cover an incision again, for safety sake I might go with a long legged version, if they make them.
