Hi, I use a small standard pet carrier as my crate, and it works great! It's small enough that I can set it on my nightstand at night and wake up when she barks to take her out to go potty. She pottied in her crate once during the first week, probably because I didn't respond to her calls in a timely manner, but she hasn't had an accident for the past three weeks now. If you keep your carrier by the bed, you won't have to sleep on the couch any more!
