Some food trials might have to take place in a lab, but even that can be done humanly. We have passed laws that pets are not allowed in lab studies, because of the undue stress. A dog raised in a kennel environment doesn’t find it stressful, however a house pet accustomed to the freedom of a a home would find the kennel environment very stressful. Remember, if there is no testing at all, your pet will ultimately be tested and yet there will be no one there to really understand what to look for. So the question to ask, is, Do you want controlled humane testing or not? Uncontrolled testing, is very dangerous to our pets. |
Yes I know that testing is necessary, however, how much human the testing is done is still a big question to me and to many other pet owners :-s
