We have to have testing....in the medical field we MUST use animals for testing....like you, I dont like it, but it is necessary ....we have animal research labs in the basements of every teaching hospital in ther Medical Center...any of you with pacemakers, heart transplants, kidney transplants, lung transplants....those procedures were all tested and perfected on animals in the basements of every teaching hospital/research hospital in this country. I can not allow myself to think about it....and I do NOT venture down into those areas to see the animals.....my coworker in my office does research on GERD and the surgery for that medical issue...using dogs....it HAS to be done...so I personally function with the proverb, "If you cant stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen". And my coworker will not discuss what he does, in front of me....
