Well cooking it will change the texture also. If you broil them, they become like a custard. Deep fry them too(which i think is a waste).
Oops meant to quote Rosie. But anyway I know what you mean. that's why I hate pea soup. I hate the texture of peas. Kinds of sandy. Just like over ripe apples, watermelon, bananas too!
