Thanks for the compliment!
We've had him since 2009, December... So he's 5 years old. (He was estimated at 2YO when we got him) He's never acted like this come Springtime, so we're all quite baffled. Vet suggested try walking him outside on a leash. My 23 inch Buddy Belt fit him good! Came in, slept, woke up, ate, and meowed for 4 hours and tried to tear the AC out of the windows to get out! I'm getting too old for this, lol! |
Maybe the vet can help if it keeps up - give him an anti-hormone shot or something! haha. I don't even know if there is such a thing but maybe they can give you a sedative to use until this spell is over.
I'm like you - don't know how stud owners of cats stand them. I've heard some pretty tough to live with stuff goes on with stud male cats. Do you think there is a female kitty in heat nearby that is causing this? I don't know a thing about if they can scent them from afar like dogs do or not or even how long the female heat lasts. Or if it is hormones - maybe he' hurting or something but that wanting to get outside sure does sound related to mating activity, doesn't it? I've known people with intact male cats that just tell awful stories of destruction and howling and spraying. It sounds like they are miserable during this time. Poor boys!
