Mike, I don't think you should dwell on the how's because there will not be an answer. They say go with your gut feeling because it's always right, so good for you in finding another groomer. One thing I would suggest you tell the next groomer is not to cut her ear hair. I'd just leave it alone from now on. I groom my girls, but I never use scissors on the ears. It's just too easy to nick or cut them.
Jillian will do just great with three less teeth..........I know, because two of mine went for cleaning on the same day a couple months ago and both had three teeth each pulled. Three on the upper back on one, and three on the lower back on the other. Hasn't slowed them down from nawing on their beef femur bones. Odd that their teeth had gotten so bad, especially since I brush them every night and they get lots of chewing actions. The Vet. said Yorkies are known for having terrible teeth, and if I had not been brushing at all, they would have lost a lot more teeth than they did. My oldest, Zada, has never needed a dental and has the best teeth ever and she's going on 8. Thank goodness her teeth are so great because she's the one with a collapsed trachea and the Vet. doesn't think putting her under would be a good idea anyway.
I don't want to give your beautiful Jillian a nic-name. She's too special to do that.

I just love your girl and is why I named my youngest, Jilli Ann after her. Hugs to Jillian and her pack. Blessing to each of you.
