My 4 1/2 mo. old still likes to gnaw on me but she is still teething. Even goes to sleep in my lap with my finger in her mouth. I think with her its a security thing and also a pacifier. Probably not good but I started replacing my finger with a toy so she is learning slowly. There have been times that she has gotten a little more aggressive when she didn't get her way and that was an immediate NO and timeout.
