With Home Again the previous owners of our Avery had to fill out a form and send it in saying that they were transferring ownership and then they could transfer the information to my contact information. Without that, I could not transfer any information.
Good luck, but I think I would pursue contacting the company and finding out who the dog was originally registered to or you will always have that fear hanging over you.
I think if someone had my dog for three years and he was well cared for and loved, I would not want to take that puppy back because it would just be for my benefit and not thinking about the puppy. I wish you the best outcome in this truly.
