I've never heard of such a service but agree with concerns of possible cross-contamination. Wonder how the guy describes his career choice to others? A nice side benefit of our tiny yorkies is their tiny poops, especially when you feed a high quality low residue food. I recommend DIY cleanup if you can. Another reason for cleaning up youself is so you will notice any health problems that show themselves in the stool.
No, but I WOULD fire the service for the owner being nasty, rude and unapologetic about the incident on the phone.
