If it hurts you at your size (100 lbs or more) just think how it feela to a 5 lb yorkie? They are meant for thick cattle and horses not small dogs.
You asked for help and it is my opinion that some of Rebel's aggression and that of Chester in the past may be related to this, so I do not consider it to be off topic, but I apologize and will start another thread on the subject of electric fences and shock collars.
