My Tibbe does this a lot but not always. He's getting much more independent as he gets more confident and proud of himself for all of the things he has learned in our training sessions and all of the praise and rewards he gets from me. It's pretty routine for little dogs like Yorkies to do this - I wouldn't worry about it unless he gets scared or cries when he's left alone and it is honestly starting to stress him to be separated.
If you want to make your little one less dependent, we can give you some pointers of some things to do that will give him more self-assurance and independence.
