Really, your pup is so stinkin' cute!!!! The groomer did a great job on his face. I would just tell them not to shave him so short next time - they don't have to shave so close, unless he has mats and I think I saw where you posted that he may have had some mats. I would give the groomer one more try and just tell them you don't want it that short.

I have Jack's hair shaved down typically in April for the summer - he actually goes in on Tuesday - and then again around in August for the winter and let it grow all winter long.

The colors you are describing are very normal. Yes, it is a shock the first time you see them with their dark hair gone and "platinum blonde" as I saw someone refer to. At 8 months, he is still young and his hair color can change up to 3 years of age. Right now Jack's hair at the root tends to be lighter but then it does darken up as his hair grows out. Jack will be 4 next month and his hair right now is light at the root, darker in the middle and light tan on the tips - kind of weird but that shows how much he has changed since his last haircut.

Jack just a few weeks ago - a bit rough around the edges.
