I have had dogs all of my life and yes, I have experienced tragedies when I was a child (a dog hit by a car, a dog attacked when I was walking it on a leash). I do believe this is why I am such a fanatic today and am so very very protective of my yorkies who are tiny and my other dogs. I share my experiences freely in an effort to prevent the same from happening to others. I know that no one is perfect and we are all here to offer suggestions and everyone is free to ignore what they cannot use or don't agree with and to use what they can.

While I worry about my poodle and my westie being stolen, it is not to the degree that I do my yorkies. I have locks on all of my gates and I am lucky enough to live in a 24 hr guard gated and patrolled neighborhood. Yorkies are the number one most stolen breed. I usually bring the poodle and the westie in the house when I am gone as well. It is never for long and they are gated and safe in my familyroom.

As for my opinion that electric shock is inhumane, I was merely stating my opinion, no different than my opinion that tail docking is inhumane. I know that most on this board disagree with my opinion but that is no reason that I should not express it, is it?

Some view your accusing members who breed females under 5 lbs as being "inhumane or cruel" as harsh. Kimberley takes no offense I am sure because she is as confident in her opinion as I am in mine.
