Having done just that, bartered a puppy for a website, I can enthusiastically say that we were very happy with the process. Stephanie, the web designer, sent me an email asking if I would consider trading one of my puppies for a website designed especially for my business. She took the information from my original website and sent me samples of what she could do. She did an excellent job, and we brokered a deal. My puppies usually sell for $1,800.00, so this was not an easy decision; however, I also knew that good quality website costs about that much. Stephanie got my website up and running last winter, and Rylee went to his forever home in August. In fact, I have Stephanie's picture on my website holding three of the babies. Her sister-in-law feel in love with Rylee, and contacted me to see if his brother, Henri, was still available. So, as a result of allowing Stephanie to trade her services for one of my puppies, I was able to sell Henri to her sil, and now Rylee and Henri are back together again.
