I used to have a dog that was horribly afraid of thunder and things like firecrackers. He was fine when there was no loud noises through. Are you sure there is not something new going on outside at night? A new neighbor making noise or something? She could be hearing something but is still nervous because of the storm.

If this does not let up you may want to try some Rescue Remedy. It is an all natural liquid that they make for pets. There are also a couple of forms of it for kids and adults as well. My daughter used it on her ultra nervous cat when she was going on a two day drive to her new location. She said she used it on all 3 cats and even the really nervous one just laid there very relaxed throughout the trip. Let me tell you that is a testimony! Her cat used to throw up and howl all the time it was in the car. You can put the drops in their water or directly into the mouth.

Maybe if you try that for a couple of nights she may be able to get back to her regular sleep habits. I know how hard it is to comfort a dog that is scared. Next to impossible to convince them all is OK.
