I'm a Marine Mom -- my son has been in for 3 years and was recently notified that he will receive the Navy Commendation Medal with a Combat V for an event that went down recently while he was in Iraq.

Wow! That's pretty cool that he gets a medal. My cousin is in the Marines & is in Iraq right now. Its his 2nd time over. He said once he gets back he's getting out!
My husband actually just got 2 medals. I don't really know what for, he just showed them 2 me the other day & said look what I got!
