I'm no expert but I'll give my opinion and try to help some.... other on here may be better at this than I am.... How long do you give her outside when you take her out? It sounds like maybe you should jsut keep her out a little longer when you take her outside. My lucy will pee right away when I take her outside, but it takes about 5 min. for her to find her spot to go # 2. With there only being an hour inbetween you and your son taking him out, then your pup should not have to go in that short of time.

With the crynig thing..... I got Lucy at 8 weeks and she gave me trouble the first night and that is it. What I have done is put her crate on a tall t.v. tray that you use to sit at your couch and eat, and I put her crate on that. The first weeks or two all I had to do is say "no go to sleep" when she would wine and then she would stop. I think she likes being close to us at night and she can see us.....also I just got another puppy last friday and we put him on a tv tray beside my husband and he has given us no problems either.... I'm not sure when most yorkies sleep through the night but my Lucy had slept through the night except the first day withought having any accidents in her crate..... same with my new puppy.... he's a minature schnauzer but he sleeps through the night also
