It would probably be safer to refrigerate. If the food has a high fat level, the fat will get rancid. I make my own treats -- they last forever, however, they are completely dehydrated and contain almost NO fat. I haven't had any to get stale or go bad, and for the sake of experiment, I have some of the treats that I made over a year ago in a sealed zip lock bag and they look, feel and smell as fresh as the newly made ones. |
