Carpet and Pee Stains question My Yorkie is 9 months old. I had a tough time housetraining him but believe that I have got him trained with only occasional accidents. I still keep him in the crate if he is not on my lap or got a eye on him and keep the rest of the door is apartment shut.
It is my understanding that if a dog pees on a carpet it is very important to get the odor up or they will keep peeing in the same spot. I have used Natures Miracle in the past to immediately spray areas when my dog does have a accident.
Last Friday I moved to a new apartment only one year old. I know the previous occupant had a dog as behind has a lot of dog poop. Since moving in my dog has peed on the carpet twice with me watching. I told the maintenance man that when I come in the front door I smell a musky smell. Today after seeing my dog pee I got my fluorescent light out and note multiple large areas that light up(not tiny dots that sometime can be seen from carpet cleaners) I believe these to be areas where the previous dog has peed and they did not get up when they shampooed.
My question is could these large spots be something else? I think that if these are pee from previous dog I will have difficulty keeping my dog from peeing in this new place.
