Chloe just had hers done 2 weeks ago. She did great. I was a nervous wreck also. She didn't lick much. I'd tell her to stop and she would. The day of the surgery, she slept alot. I gave her pedialyte (orange) and boiled chicken. She wasn't interested in eating much. She was pretty uncomfortable. The vet gave me 4 days of pain pills to take at night. The next day she was pretty much back to herself. I just kept her from jumping and running. She never had problems with constipation (although I kept mineral oil on hand) I brought her home in a crate. Definitely call the vet to check on her. I called mine twice and they were super nice. I hope yours is the same. Please keep us posted. She will do fine, but I understand the worry. I too kept myself busy all day and it helped. Prayers going out to Julie, Tori, you, and your mom.
