I used an airline crate to bring my Jilly home. Get a soft recovery collar is you have a dog that might try to lick or chew her incision but it won't be necessary if she doesn't do this. Jilly did once or twice and I told her to stop and she did. But some dogs won't stop. Just be ready with a good soft recovery collar in case. Also ask the vet exactly what to do if the dog seems to be hurting before it is time for the next dose of pain medicine and find out what to do. If she can't be still, keeps repositioning herself and circling around a lot, whining, shaking, etc., she is likely hurting and you'll need to know what to do. Also find out what to do if she won't eat or drink water after 8 hours and what you should specifically do if she refuses one or both. That's all I can think about right now?
