I am currently using biogroom shampoo and the NovaPearls conditioner and the Espree Show Style High Sheen spray to comb out the hair. In my experience the shampoo doesn't matter much, it is the conditioner that seems to make the difference. It's the conditioner that is keeping them tangle/matt free in between baths. I was once told by a groomer that you should leave conditioner in for at least 8 minutes for it to properly be absorbed by the skin and coat. I don't know how true this is but in my case I do notice a difference when I give them a
quick bath versus letting it sit for awhile.
Not one shampoo and conditioner is going to be right for every dog. You just have to try them out and stick with what works for them. |
