That is typicaly the correct way of doing it, but it is all a matter of finding what works for your own pup. They is never just one way of doing it. You try new things and do what works best.
Are you wetting the hair down first? I always keep a spray bottle with water and some conditioner in it for brushing in bewteen groomings.
You can try the type of de tangle comb (Matt Remover Comb) that I use. Its one
without the razors. It will not cut the hair. You need to watch if you do deside to get one because there are once with razors that will cit the hair. You dont want that. You use is with wet hair and by gripping the hair at the root before you gide it through the hair in an downward and than upwards motion. I love it, they work great.
