I may wait and see what time he comes out of surgery and how long the surgeon's facility will be watching him. If he's out of surgery by noon and someone will be at the facility until 10 or 11, I'd be more inclined to leave him there. But if he's the last surgery of the day and doesn't come out of anesthesia until 7 or 8, I'd be less inclined to leave him there overnight.
I just know I'll be a mess waiting for them to open at 6:30 a.m. if I leave him there. |
I feel for you. I know how agonizing it is to have a pup in the hospital. I am fortunate here in that the surgeon I use is at a 24 hour facility. I would not want to move one to another place either...and there is a lot to that part about the noise. I know that when mine are hospitalized they don't get a lot of rest because of the activity. One of the vets actually told me that.
