In time you will adjust to the space and the edges will come off that area and your tongue won't go there. You probably got some tiny muscles holding the teeth insulted during the work and those areas are inflamed and swollen and hurting too. In can take 2 -3 weeks for those areas to settle down but usually it is quicker than that. Dental work can be such an insult to the mouth and body and psyche in and of itself but on top of other sinus or ear problems, it is a booger! I feel your pain!!!
