Some of you guys know that Troy had an emergency vet visit last Friday. Well the treatment plan from that visit was to have him on lactulose and prednislone until his follow up visit. The vet suspected liver shunt, bacterial encephalitis and granulomas encephalitis. Well after blood work, his liver function was substantially low, but to fully determine liver shunt they suggested he have an ultrasound. I have yet to have one but the goal is to get one soon but until then the meds have been reducing his symptoms.

Troy is 3 years old due to turn 4 in July. I've had a lot on my mind about medically treating vs. surgical treatment. Done a lot of google/yorkie talk searches on pros and cons. But that's all i have for now.
