I just wanted to pass on my experience to you also. When Lola passed away I too wanted a puppy for that bonding and training experience. So Ruby came into my life. Ruby and I have a very strong bond. Fast forward three months after picking Ruby up and my breeder calls me up and says I have an adult, born in 2007, who I need to retire. She tells me that Little Mitsy Me is a gentle dog that still has play in her and she thinks Mitsy would be a good fit for Ruby. I have to tell you its been a year now and no one would ever guess that I didn't raise Rosie Aka Mitsy from puppyhood. We are that bonded. She learned a new name and caught on to the rules in my house quickly.and she came potty trained!
