I posted this in hopes of making poo play less digusting. I think when I understand why a dog /puppy does something yucky, my feelings change towards the pup, like 'oh, that makes sense that she's doing something she learned from her real mommie', rather than thinking there's something gone awry in her brain and I think she a gross unlikeable being.

Another thing to try to correct this situation would be to grab a small toy and redirect her interest to it by tossing it in the air, as she is doing with her poo, lots of praise when she shows interest in the toy.

Thinking too (probably too much, lol) she may be mimicking YOU, if she sees you cleaning up after her. I'd throw a ball or toy to get her going away from the pad so she doesn't witness you picking up any poo.
