A lot of times Yorkies do not loose all of their baby teeth and need to be removed by a vet. When this happens, food gets stuck and causes bad breath. It happened with Izzy. We had her spayed and while she was under, the vet pulled 6 retained puppy teeth. After that, her breath was not nearly as bad and now we brush every night with CET toothpaste.
