Thank goodness. I've heard some horror stores of ER patients waiting two weeks to get in to see some specialists. It used to be that the specialist on call to the E.R. the night a patient was seen by the E.R. physician for a problem of his(the specialist's) specialty was obliged by his hospital staff privileges to see that very patient in his office ASAP, preferably the first business day after. But that has apparently changed in many areas as I hear of ER patients having trouble getting specialist appointments quickly. I'm sure glad your FIL will get seen fast.
