Is the hospital he went to a specified stroke center? It does not sound like it....of course, I can not see the patient, but I can not imagine any hospital that diagnosis a patient as having mini strokes, and has an altered mental state, ie confusion, ....sending him home, especially not having done any intervention......certainly not what any stroke center would do for him....should have at the very least admitted him for observation overnight.....I would have him at another hospital emergency room, one with a stroke protocol.......
