Ears: Our Vet has me cleaning her ears and putting in meds (MalOtic - 15 gm.) twice each day for 10 days. I can do it the same time I give her the other meds so that will help me remember. I am to use a Q-tip (which makes me a little nervous) to clean out the "gunk", put in the medicine and let her go.

The "gunk" the Vet got out of her ear was really disgusting, brown in color which just can't be good.

She just had her first hair trim and our groomer pulled all the hair from both ears but I think she may have already been coming down with this since she just had her hair trimmed a day or so ago. The groomer didn't say anything though so I'm sure she didn't see anything at that time. She also showed me how to pull the hairs so I can do it myself between grooming sessions. I have a wall calendar that I write everything we do to/for her and keep track of meds that way. It works for me.

Well, she had a really good nap this afternoon and I haven't seen her shaking her head and crying. She's just giving Hansel a hard time. LOL Looks like she's back to her old self again. Yeah!!
