I am guessing Rebel did experience MUCH trauma, not to mention possible bruising from wiggling under the fence. AND THEN someone he did not know at all (gasp) gave him a BATH!!!
Then, right after, there was the traveling.
I am guessing the poor boy is completely in need of a mental health break, and I think you did the right thing by leaving him with grammy and his girlfriend Lily. Give YOURSELF a break, my friend, and be nice to YOU!
Good luck revamping your fence! Keep us in touch how Rebel is behaving once you get him home, and let us know what your mom has to say about how things are going there. I am betting with some passage of time, the boy will be fine.
