I really think everyone should do some more research. Yorkies where never "SMALL" (under 5 pounds) to start with. breeders made them that way by breeding within standers. There where two types of yorkies and the largers are fading out and its said.

The comment about larger yorkies are mixed, this is simply not true. Please research SKYE and WATERSIDE. Those are yorkies roots and will always carry that line.

Now you will see where they get there color and long hair, research how genes are passed.
