I have an Brother 6800, it's a sewing and embroidery combined machine. I love this machine. I ended up buying this one about 8 months ago for the embroidery features. It does all basic sewing stitches and hooks up to my computer so I can download any pes patterns. Like you I had a $500 budget and found the best deal online at Wal-Mart. I did look and the price has gone up but wait for a sale. I have found the instruction book it came with and the brother website to be sufficient for using this machine as it is very user friendly. Before this I had a used 1960s model Kenmore that I used for over 25 years and it is still going strong although it is now in the closet. |
