I have boys and girls and they really are individual personalities regardless of sex. I have a sweet but sassy boy who talks back and a sweet boy who is as close to a human baby as a dog can get. I have 2 females that are very sweet. One is the pup of the other. The pup has her Mom's sweet disposition. A lady who lives nearby has a female that is so independant ... more like a cat...you hold her ONLY when she LETS you. They are all different. It also depends on how calm and consistent you are with them. A lot of problems derive from the owner. Though, like children, some are just going to be the way they are regardless
