You should not feel forced to do it. I have had the opposite experience -- people telling me I was crazy for neutering my boys. A lot of people breed their pets where I live. I was obligated to neuter under our breeder's contract, and I wanted to do it. I do advocate neutering, but I wouldn't force it on anyone.
