I would ask the vet about giving a tablespoon of pumpkin, it's high fiber and can help the ear plugs come out a little faster. I don't think you'll see them before 24 hours though. Anything you have in your ears will have a scent on it that's your dogs will go nuts over. I've read many a thread about a dog eating a Q-tip, so you might want to keep your plugs in a covered box, once they learn where a goodie is, you have to be extra diligent about hiding them.
