Omg, I'm another phone-hater. Cannot stand the phone. I too would rather email for pretty much everything...which I know drives some people nuts, but I can't help it - it's the way I'm built. Like EllieMay, I'll put off making phone calls for as long as possible. All my non-personal calls go to voicemail, almost without exception. Even my family's phone calls (except for my hubby) all go to voice mail, so that I can call them back when I'm in a frame of mind for being on the phone with them.
I actually startle when my phone rings, bc I dislike it that much

. I think the root of this is two-fold...one, bc I never really loved the phone in the first place. And two, I had a job in my 20s/30s (medical field) where I had 2 pagers and 3 cell phones (AND an answering service, who would call and CONFIRM my pages were rcvd, omg!) - and I was on-call SO much of the time, and could be tracked down at almost all times....that I just grew to detest the phone...and it began to stand for something that I couldn't have any control over. Who wants to live like that? Ugh, not me. So to this day, I still cringe when that thing rings.
So anyway! A good breeder will want to get a 'feel' for you, and it's so hard to do that via email. What do you do when you absolutely *must* make a phone call? As in, does it help to schedule it at a certain time of day, that you choose? Or anything? Try to think of 2 or 3 things you could do to make it more plausible for you to make that phone call.
Btw, google "phone phobia" or "I hate the phone" sometime...you'll be utterly amazed at how common this feeling really is.
