We chose to drive to Alaska even though it's a 65 hour drive just so Jax can stretch his legs, go potty, have more room on the backseat vs. being stuffed in a crate for a 27 hour flight sedated. I'm excited to see how he acts when he sees a moose or something besides a cow here in Texas.
I pointed out this post to hubby and he said "no one's putting MY dog in a crate for 27 hours...we would be driving, too!". (This from the man who said no more dogs after we lost the last one...glad he came around)
Sounds like quite the adventure. I think driving from Tx to Alaska would be a really great way to see and explore. I hope the Army gives you a nice block of travel time so you don't feel rushed. When october comes around, you will have to post your adventures!
