Your dog isn't getting enough exercise and activity.
If I understand correctly, she is also going up to 12 hours or more without a potty break.
Her lifestyle has completely changed. Dogs who once had more freedom usually do very poorly when suddenly caged.
Please do not spank your dog. It doesn't teach your dog anything. I'm sure she is very confused right now.
I understand work and life responsibilities, but you also have a responsibility to care for this dog. If that is not within your means right now, I recommend re-homing her. That would be thee kindest thing you could do.
