Teeka is 7 months and does the same thing. She will whine and paw at my leg to pick her up. Then when I reach down to pick her up, she backs away. I sometime make her wait and ignore her a bit and then she lets me lift her onto my lap. She loves to be held and is also a "velcro" baby! I wonder if this is a yorkie trait.
