Tibbe freaks when he hears mine or those on TV in the ads! He barks and doesn't run off but he's often shaking when it happens, less now than when I first got him. I immediately treat him when it does happen and let him outside with a little pile of treats to enjoy while I take it down and change batteries. It happens so infrequently I don't try to desensitize him to it or anything but just let him know when he does hear it, he will get treats and get to go outside with more treats.
