I don't want to wait but I can't force my vet to see me. I have called several times today hoping they can fit me in but they are trying to get caught up from being closed. I am still checking temps in the mean time and it is staying right around 99. My vet did say if her temp gets over 102 or if she discharges something green or smelly to take her immediately to the ER. Which I already knew. I am trying a vet about 2 hours from here but still waiting on a call back. I am trying very hard to stay calm and do what is best for my baby girl and her babies. How ever I think that it is possible that I jumped the gun on her delivery date as it is possible that she did not conceive until her last tie. You are correct in that I do not have ANY experience in doppler reading I was just reaching for anything until I can get a vet to exray her.
If I had a vet that had already cancelled one xray on my pregnant bitch, and now she was overdue and he STILL did not see a need to get to me, except as an afterthought, I would be looking for another vet. You are clearly not very important to this vet and I would find some vet that realizes the imporetance of an xray on a pregnant bitch, especially one that is overdue. Gosh, heaven forbid you actually need emergent care for your momma....he may still be getting caught up from being off and get to you whenever he can!!!!!!!!!!! And, oh by the way....if he was dealing with ME, I would have my butrt up there with my dog, and everyone in that waiting room would know about my delima and I would NOT be leaving until they did an xray on my dog!!!!
