When I first signed up for the YT GE, I thought I was going to be able to keep things pretty "real"... but unbeknownst to me I didn't realize how much fun it would be shopping for someone else and things quickly got out of control
I am completely incapable of making anything either, so I was trying to make sure I got meaningful gifts.
I stayed within my own personal budget, but it definitely was above the minimum. I had fun though, and I cannot wait to enter Dexter into the next GE.
I would honestly have to say though, it isn't the monetary value of the gift that makes this so fun! It is the fact that someone else is putting thought and effort into something for you that makes it so special. So this being my first GE, I would recommend to anyone who wanted to join to participate!! Even if you only wanted to/could only spend the minimum amount. That is all anyone does and should expect.
