Jewel has been battling seizures due to Necrotizing Encephalitis or GME. (You can read my thread at http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30824)

You must get professional help. No if ands or buts! Seizures are very serious and can cause brain damage!

Take her to ANY vet if she has:
1. More than 3 seizures in 1 day.
2. Seizure last more than 2 minutes.

One possible cause to have checked:
Liver Shunt - it will require surgery but it is a very common birth defect in Yorkies.

Medication:
Insist on only using Potassium Bromide. It takes longer to start working and requires monthly blood work untill the proper doseage to be found but it is sooooo much safer. If Daisy is having really bad seizures you might want to consider having your doctor add Pheobarbitol but only for a very short time. Pheobarbitol is processed through the liver can permanently damage Daisy's liver.

Here are some things you can do that has helped Jewel at home.

1. Don't panic! She will feel your stress! Have a towel handy to clean up any bowel or bladder movements. Don't put anything in her mouth, dogs can not swallow their tounge.

2. Soon as she starts having a seizure, place an ice pack on her lower back, between her lower rib cage and tail. Not the tummy or neck

3. Get some "Rescue Remedy" and place a drop on her head. It's a natural calming agent made from flowers extract. You can find it at any health store like GMC.

Diet Changes:
1. Eleminate Glucose from her diet. No Wheat, Corn, Soy, Dairy, turkey. Try switching the food to a potato based diet.
2. Add unflavored gelatin to her meals. Sprinkle enough to lightly cover the top of her food.
