I am not a breeder so my question is not elementary. The use of my male is a one time request by a friend who has previously bred Yorkies so she is not "flying by the seat of her pants". Once the pregnancy is verified my plan is to neuter my male. Yes, both dam and sire have had health checks.
Since I am not an expert, and wanted my male to be safe, I wanted to get reassurance of what I had been told. Thinking the forum would be a safe, friendly place to ask, I posted my question.
Some of you need to keep in mind that the forums are for questions and sharing. I would rather ask than think I know the answer and ultimately endanger my pet. I thought the forum would be a quick and easy way to verify what she told me. |
